About Myself

I am currently working as an Engineer at Dominion Energy, Virginia, USA. In my current role, I lead a forecasting initiative for data-center-heavy regions where behind-the-meter generation is expanding rapidly. Our goal is to incorporate probabilistic forecasting methodologies to systems operation reliability studies and to provide insights on the uncertainty of load and generation in Northern Virginia.

My research interests include probabilistic methods for power systems applications, Energy Markets, and reliability analysis. I have co-authored several research papers in reputed journals and conferences in the field of power systems, and data science.

I have completed a dual master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Data Science from Chennai Mathematical Institute in 2024 and 2022 respectively. I also worked as an intern at Dominion Energy, Legato Health Technologies, imec, INESC TEC while pursuing my masters. Prior to this, I have completed my B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Durgapur in 2018. After graduation, I worked with Jindal Stainless Limited as an Associate Manager at Cold Rolling Mill Electrical and Automation department.

Outside of work, I am an avid traveler, nature enthusiast, and a trained Indian classical singer.

About NIT Dgp Days..

NIT Dgp was my first home away from home. Our Electrical Engineering department was so strict that we had to attend regular classes from 8:15 in the morning. Jokes apart, we got to learn a lot from our professors. Here, I have mentioned some of the courseworks I have enjoyed during my bachelors.

  • Electrical Machine
  • Power Systems
  • Control Systems
  • Power Electronics
  • High Voltage Engineering
  • Analog and Digital Electronics
  • Renewable Energy Systems

Work Experience at Jindal Stainless Limited (Associate Manager, CRM E&A)

My work experience was nothing but full of exciting adventures with practical learning exposure. As we joined as a batch of Graduate Engineer Trainees, we got to know about the entire process (Including business and operations). Later, when I was working full time with Electrical Maintenance, this overall exposure helped me to grow in all directions. This was my first job, all the memories will be cherished forever.

CMI Diaries

In 2020, when almost everyone lost their will to the atrocity of pandemic, in one fine afternoon, I got a call letter from Chennai Mathematical Institute. It was one of the most happiest days in my life. Something, which I was dreaming for a while was finally going to be a reality. Due to pandemic, we started late, classes were online and moreover we had to clear three semester exams in a year. We were fortunate enough to get in tough with our professors who tried their best to help us in all the aspects. Here goes the list of some subjects which I enjoyed most at CMI.

  • Programming and Data Structure with Python
  • Probability and Statistics with R
  • Linear Algebra and it's Applications
  • Machine Learning
  • Time Series Analysis
  • Design and Analysis of Algorithms
  • Linear Optimization

Internship Experience

In this section, I will list down some of my bachelors and masters internship experiences.
